Our Management Team warns that many Landlords are not carrying out mid-tenancy inspections often enough ,leaving them at greater risk of a dispute . 

The average length of tenancy has increased and ideally inspections should be carried out every 3 to 4 months and no less than every 6 months ,so that any potential health and safety issues or maintenance jobs can be dealt with before they escalate .

Importantly the mid tenancy inspection and documenting provides evidence that the landlord was aware there was a problem and took the appropriate action …
